Resolutionary

One of those ideas that seemed like a good one in December…

Week Four; Mud on the soles

Last week seems to have rushed by in a bustle!

Ironically the only thing I managed to do on my to do list from last week was get my mountain bike out and have a run, it has only underlined how extremely unfit I am, after cycling for an hour I ran for 100yrds to loosen up all my muscles and by the end of that 100yards I was breathing like a chain smoker… I ran the 100yrds back too but only after catching my breath.

Not Impressed…

Anyway, the Mountain biking was fun, got muddy, which of course proves I was doing it right, but then it’s hard to work out how I could have stayed clean with the state the forest trail was in!

So more Mountain biking this week…

The kitchen did get a bit of a spruce up but not as ‘deep’ as I’d planned but I didn’t touch my photo albums… :-(

Insomnia blighted my week again, the OH keeps asking what I’m stressing over, I think I know, it concerns my daughters health and I need to spend some time addressing that issue.

Week Four Goals

Drink more water

Do some bloody ironing :-s

Clear the bits of garden bed which need clearing

Uncluttering which didn’t get done last week..

Week One: and Go!

okay, take it easy…

There is another Resolution…. Pace myself, make sure I don’t go all out mad just because it’s a new year, I have a gut feeling that is not going to work.

Today I woke up without a hang over, this is because I’m far to sensible old I didn’t drink a lot last night, simply that, I had one G&T after the children went to bed and I really enjoyed it, I savored it.  I know I said I’m not going to go all out but I do need to shake off a few nasty habits, like wine O’clock or rather Tanqueray and Tonic O’clock as it has become over the festive season.  If only for a while.

In October I had a minor op, I had a general anethetic and since I was pumped full of these chemicals my system has been sluggish, rich food and alchol really has not helped this at all, I feel the need to flush out a bit (Oooerr Mrs!)

So this weeks goals are as follows

Drink Water

Cut back on the booze, preferably to nothing until next Sunday but y’know, I’m a Mother…#sipandrelax

No Junk food (Crisps, Chocolate, Cake etc…)

Drink More Water

Go for a paced jog on Wednesday and Thursday (My only 2 days on my own this week)

Write down what I’m eating and WHY I’m eating it (hunger, comfort, boredom etc)

Drink more Water

No Coffee (This one is the Killer!!!)

Write something fictional… Anything, it’s been too long…. Even if it’s drivel…

and the dreaded housekeeping resolution?

Deep Clean the bathroom

I will keep you updated as I go….

Control the bounce!

A parcel was delivered this morning, it contained my new ‘trail’ running shoes and a sports bra, apparently flip flops and duct tape are not de rigueur in the running world.  It must be all about controlling the bounce, especially regarding the sports bra which I must say seems to work very well!  I could do with one for my tummy…

I spent quite a while trying to work out if trail shoes or street shoes would be best, approx 2 minutes, exposed tarmac as apposed to well hidden highly camouflaged forest tracks… no competition there really.

So now, I’m all ready for the smalls going back to school!
